I'm
a roadie. For the uninitiated, this means I haul amps,
set up and break down equipment, tune guitars, replace
knocked-over microphone and cymbal stands, etc. Mainly
I take marching orders from Biggie (occasionally I'm called
upon to fetch beers to the stage for the band, although
Biggie says I don't have to do that). I'm also the guy
selling merchandise (t-shirts & CD’s) after
the shows. Humping someone else's gear is what I do when
I'm not playing music. There are people who will tell
you I'm a better roadie than I am a musician, and I can't
say they're necessarily wrong. Essentially I'm getting
paid to ride around the United States in a van for 12
hours a day to see Watershed play. Is this a great country
or what?
