From high atop Mt. Krenzel,
overlooking the pastoral Olentangy Valley, Jeff Hassler
mans his post at Watershed Central. Not until the Spring
Thaw will Jeff stagger down from his command station stinking
of wet St. Bernards and Brandy, and even then it will
only be for a single post-Memorial Day dip in the Upper
Arlington Community Pool. For just the faintest scent
of Coppertone, just the most sideways glance at long-limbed,
suburban blondes rising in drenched splendor from depths
of 3FT (No Diving!) is enough to gird Jeff against another
long winter in Camp Watershed.
